Cloud Hill

The quarry at Cloud Hill in Leicestershire is an extensive operation which supplies aggregates to the Midlands area. Our engineers were responsible for contract management of the civils works elements of a project to construct a new asphalt and concrete plant within the site of the quarry to service the motorway market with coated materials. We assisted with the site layout including the positioning of the new plants on the site and designed the foundations. We also re-configured the site road layout to incorporate separate incoming and outgoing weighbridges, a wheel wash and site drainage to mitigate contamination of nearby watercourses.
