Cardewmires

Cardewmires is an operational sand and gravel quarry located in Cumbria. We provided full services for the installation of a new and extended aggregate screening plant for the site. Our appointment included assistance with planning the site, design of foundations and other plant substructures, contract administration of the civil works and cost and programme control. The final works included a new weighbridge as well as graded aggregate bays. Following on from this, we were asked to look at the settling lagoons which form a key part of the quarry water treatment system and advise on a strategy for sediment control prior to discharge from the site.
