Snow’s Green

Previously occupied by two detached bungalows, the site at Snow’s Green Road in Shotley Bridge was an engineering challenge. The proposals included two new blocks each containing fifteen luxury apartments on three floors. The brief was for traditional construction with masonry walls, concrete floors and a pitched roof, but the site presented a problem because of the significant end to end slope. To manage this we designed retaining strutures which included sections of Timber Crib walling as part of the external hardstanding package for the development. We also designed foundations, the building superstructure and below ground drainage networks.
