Castle Garth

Built during the 1930’s this large ‘arts and crafts’ style house within view of Bamburgh Castle had become run-down. This development brought the house up to modern standards and added a new wing resulting in 8 apartments with stunning sea views. We provided a full civil and structural design service which began with a structural assessment of the existing building and a site investigation. This was then developed into a series of design modifications to the existing building to ensure its suitability for the proposed new use. We designed the site drainage using sustainable drainage principles and provided foundations for the new wing.
