BAE Access Bridges Systems

We work with BAE Systems in a varied capacity. On this particular project we designed and managed the upgrade of three road bridges at one of their sites. This required close liaison with the Environment Agency to arrange permissions to carry out the work as well as a flood risk assessment to check the impacts of the proposed upgrade. We were responsible for providing an appropriate Eurocode design and then overseeing the installation of new abutment walls cast behind existing river walls, steel beams and concrete decks. We also specified edge protection and a concrete upstand and provided a design package that included reinforced concrete drawings and bending schedules.
