Tower 4ZY30

Following severe flooding in 2008 the River Breamish changed course and threatened to destabilise a tower carrying the National Grid overhead power line between Scotland and northern England. We carried out design of emergency river works needed to protect this key piece of infrastructure. As part of this we liaised with both the local authority and the Environment Agency and appointed a contractor to complete the works. We were also responsible for construction monitoring on site.
