Stublach

Our engineers designed and advised on the installation of a new electrical substation to provide 60MW of power for the new 400,000m³ natural gas storage facility at Stublach in Cheshire. Our remit at Stublach was wide. It included preparing the design intent memorandum for all civil works, arranging site investigation and preparing contract documents. We developed the design for roads and hardstanding areas as well as all foundations and bunds. Our decision to deploy sustainable drainage systems also meant a considerable soakaway pit was required.
