Heraeus Quartz

The Neptune Road Industrial site is used for the manufacture of high quality quartz glass for optical fibre cables. This process requires a supply of oxygen, nitrogen, argon and hydrogen. These products are stored externally in an area known as the cryogenic facility for which we designed foundations, substructures and surrounding paving areas. We provided contract administration services, obtained planning permission for the works and carried out liaison and consultation over Roman remains below the site. We also acted as CDM co-ordinator. The site sits in front of other buildings designed by us 10-15 years ago.
