Blackhillock Substation

Blackhillock substation, located a few miles from Keith is a replacement for the existing substation. This development plays a substantial role in energy infrastructure in the area; allowing for a major increase in renewable energies that can be fed into the electric grid from windfarms across Scotland. The project is the largest substation in Europe and alongside this mantle it has some of the largest Super Grid Transformers available; also using the very latest technology. The station caters for 400kV, 275kV, & 132kV connections.

The Site is currently under construction and pictures of site progress can be found on our Official Facebook Page or our Twitter Page.
