Gibside Hall part of the National Trust’s Gibside Estate in Northumberland. The Hall is in a very poor state of repair. This is recognized by its inclusion in English Heritage’s Buildings at Risk Register. The Hall is a substantial building, which for the past century has been in a state of decline, with little or no maintenance. A conservation architect has been appointed to provide a management plan to make the building safe and allow public access. It is hoped that the restoration will increase the the estate's already popular status.
BT Bell have been assisting the architect with the assessment of the current structure, including structural monitoring. We have advised on the suitability of earlier repairs and are advising on recommended repair works; separated into short and medium term works along with further investigations.
