Surface water drainage is probably the fastest changing area of civil engineering. With the introduction of the EU Water Framework Directive and other legislation involving ground water quality, the control of storm water flow is becoming increasingly complex.
At BT Bell we have trained engineers who are conversant with current legislation and can design storm water systems incorporating the principles of SuDS (Sustainable Drainage Systems).
Storm water systems can be modelled on Windes \\\\\\\\\\\\\\\'micro drainage\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\' software, incorporating detention ponds, soak-aways, storage cells together with flow controls. The storm water models are simulated with various duration storms and return periods.
